About

I build the commercial machinery that turns new technology into real revenue.

My day job is at Stryker, where I lead strategic alliances and partnerships at Smart Care — the division combining Vocera and care.ai to shape connected hospital experiences.

Eighteen years at Stryker have moved me through five divisions and four quota-carrying roles, with one consistent thread: standing up new digital businesses inside traditionally analog ones. I commercialized Stryker Communications' first software suite. I stood up the digital franchise at Trauma & Extremities. Now I'm building Smart Care's strategic partnership program from the ground up.

The work I'm proudest of is the work that didn't exist when I started.

I lead through influence rather than headcount. I treat partner executives as peers, not pipeline. And I invest heavily in the people around me — formally, through programs like Stryker's Best Self Facilitator work, and informally, through an ongoing network of mentees inside and outside the company.

Now

Strategic Alliances & Partnerships

Stryker Smart Care  ·  2025 – Present

Building Smart Care's third-party partnership program from a blank page. Sourcing and engaging relationships with Apple, Epic, Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco, and Tier 1–3 consulting firms. Structuring complex agreements end-to-end and shaping the technology advisory cadence that aligns partner roadmap with Smart Care strategy.

Before

Digital Sales Leadership

Stryker Trauma & Extremities  ·  2022 – 2025

Stood up Upper Extremities' first digital franchise — concept to live in customer ORs in under two years, then a full sales cycle of surgeon labs, hospital procurement, and enterprise health-system purchasing. Hired and trained the digital sales team. Exceeded the first-year quota.

Earlier

Marketing & Connectivity Solutions

Stryker Communications  ·  2011 – 2019

Owned a $90MM+ technology franchise and led the division's transition into a software-led commercial model. Commercialized the first full software suite — Studio3, ConnectSuite, Live Video Conferencing, Room/Hospital Status — and trained the entire commercial and service organization to sell and support it.

Foundation

Customer Relations & Sales Engineering

Stryker Imaging  ·  2007 – 2011

The role where I learned that technology only matters when the people on the receiving end can actually use it. Built the customer relations and sales engineering function that supported enterprise IT deployments across the division.

Writing

I also write.

About leadership, identity, and the frames we inherit and the ones we choose. Some of that writing lives in a LinkedIn newsletter. The longer-form work lives at Framed Minds — a platform built around the twelve psychological frames that shape who we become.

The same instincts that show up there show up in how I work: with curiosity, with care for the people involved, and with a bias toward building rather than maintaining.

Connect

If you'd like to talk — I'd like to hear from you.

Best route is email. I read everything, and I respond to most of it. Eventually.
